Partnering
GIS are no novices when it comes to Partnering arrangements, either being part of a supply chain or being sole provider.  The agreements that we have been party to have been successful for all parties concerned, bringing a feeling of teamwork to those working and quality product ‘on time’ to the end user.

Erewash Borough Council -  
(Becoming Three Valleys Housing in March 2002)
We began a successful Partnership with this organisation in 2000 as part of a supply chain of 4 for the manufacture of PVC-u windows and rear doors.  With the most successful retained this became 3, and then we were part of 2 remaining.  By the time that the arrangement finished in 2005 we were the sole providers for the last year.  With an annual spend of £1.4M, tenants of over 6,000 properties enjoyed improvements to their homes.  Providing a service that met pre-determined KPi targets set out by all partners in the chain, reward for achieving higher than average performance criteria was always achieved on a pain or gain type system.

Dacorum Borough Council
As main contractor in a PPC2000 Partnering Contract for the Manufacture, Supply and Installation of PVC-u windows and rear doors, GIS completed £4.3M of installations to over 2,100 properties between 2002 and 2004.  Working closely with the client an agreed specification was drawn up and installations proceeded with pre-determined KPi’s.  This contract was very successful, and a good contractual relationship was enjoyed by both parties built upon trust, service, Customer care and product demonstrations to its tenants.  GIS were able to show full compliance with an agreed “Customer Care Charter” and used much local labour employed to work on the site.

Dacorum Borough Council
We are currently providing the service of manufacture, supply and installation of PVC-u windows and rear doors to the Dacorum Borough.  The success of the previous Partnership made us front runners when choosing a company to be part of a 5 year strategic Partnering arrangement.  The contract value is circa £1M per annum, and the standards previously set in the previous arrangement maintained.
